Ihsan – Solar power for clean water
During this intervention IYD successfully increased the accessibility to sustainable water services for more than 7000 individuals (70% IDPs and 30% host) in 3 camps,
| PIN has been an active WASH actor in NWS since 2013, implementing projects under institutional donors such as DFID, SDC, SCHF, and ECHO which were inclusive of various emergency and long-term modalities including but not limited to; sanitation system rehabilitation, water network/station rehabilitation, construction of elevated water tanks, landfill rehabilitation, in addition to newly applied modalities like installation solar power plants for water stations. PIN is an active WASH cluster member and participates in several Technical Working Groups (Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Plant technical working group), and has qualified staff in both Turkey and Syria with extensive experience in implementing needs-based, high-quality WASH programming. |
