People in need – Solar power help improving the access to drinkable water in Kafr Jales NW Syria

As a part of PEOPLE IN NEED  WASH intervention in NWS,

PEOPLE IN NEED  improved the access to drinkable water for 6,820 individuals of Host community and IDPs in Kafr Jales village in Maaret Tamsrin sub-district, through providing the water station with 84-KW solar power system (hyprid), in summer the solar power system operates the water station for 8.5 hours/day totally environment friendly and it saves more than 7000 litres/month (~ 3500 USD). In order to to maximize the effecincy of the project, the solar power system is designed to provide one of two water pumps alternatively (40 HP / 60 HP), also the project Improved water quality assurance through the installation of a chlorination pump and provision of chlorine needed for three month.
